Dodgeball Canada Announces Team Canada Squads

TORONTO, ON. Dodgeball Canada (“DC”) is pleased to announce its official Team Canada squads belonging to its men’s, women’s and mixed Foam & Cloth disciplines. Members include:

“We are thrilled with the process and turnout for our squad members who proved themselves playing at the varying levels across many regions and provinces,” says President Duane Wysynski. “We are also grateful to our provincial sports organizations, coaches and staff who expedited the selection process over the past month toward selecting Canada’s finest to be named to their respective squads.”


“First and foremost, we, at DC are thrilled to welcome the Cloth discipline to our organization,” says Dodgeball Canada President Duane Wysynski. “This will be the first time for us to field six national team squads who will be competing for a medal on the World Stage this coming August.”


The squads recently converged at the Pam Am Sports Centre (16 Main St. Unionville, Markham, Ontario) this past weekend (May 14-15, 2022) to attend their inaugural training camp, wherein they were led by Marc Cizravi (Men’s Foam Head Coach), Ian Assang (Men’s Cloth Head Coach), Spencer Sarault and Lynn Kirkpatrick (Women’s Foam Head Coaches), Amaris Pozeg (Women’s Cloth Head Coach), Amanda Furst & Kevin Harder (Mixed Foam Coaches) and Brian Warring (Mixed Cloth Coach).


”The coaches did an exceptional job bringing together Canada’s finest under one roof to begin the road to Worlds,” says Wysynski.


Members of these squads will be activated later this Summer to represent Canada at the World Dodgeball Federation Championships (August 28 to September 4, 2022), which will take place at the Saville Community Sports Centre (The University of Alberta).


“We are excited for Team Canada’s participation at Worlds later this Summer,” says Dodgeball Canada’s General Manager, Jeremy Renaud. “We are also looking forward to growing the sports through the Cloth discipline across the nation as we engage new players to compete from playground to podium!”


Dodgeball Canada is the national governing body for the sport throughout the nation. As a member-based organization, it strives to foster participation and excellence at all levels to of governance from playground to podium while engaging new and existing members from diverse backgrounds across Canada.
