Chris is a WDBF gold medalist from a bygone era. Since then he helped to found Dodgeball Edmonton, which he still continues to run, and was a founding member of Dodgeball Canada. He continues to be an active member in the dodgeball community.

Paul Laking

Event Director

Paul has been part of the competitive dodgeball scene in Edmonton for over a decade. He is the captain of Mint, one of Edmonton's provincial teams, and runs Dodgeball Edmonton alongside Chris Berry. He will ask if you’re planning to attend every nationals-related social event and fully expects you will say yes.

Erica Spitzmacher

Task Master

Erica has been part of the Edmonton dodgeball community for over 10 years and has enjoyed watching it grow and change. She was a member of Edmonton Thunder for the first few years, but now is involved in the dodgeball community through dodgeball commentary on Twitch.

Lindsay Oulton

Photography & Streaming Coordinator

Lindsay has been involved in dodgeball in Edmonton for over a decade. She can often be found on the sidelines trying to photograph the best elements of the game. Lindsay will be behind the camera again at the 2022 Canadian Dodgeball National Championships capturing all of the action and excitement.

Kim has been a part of the Edmonton dodgeball scene for over a decade. She has made many friends through dodgeball over the years and loves meeting new people. If you can't find her playing, she'll most likely be refereeing or volunteering around the courts.

Anny Hreczuch

Officials Coordinator

Anny has been playing dodgeball for the last several years. She was introduced to Dodgeball Edmonton through a childhood friend and has been hooked since. In 2017 she decided to experience Nationals in Halifax as a referee. Enjoying the experience she then travelled to Markham Ontario later that year participating as a ref in the 2017 World’s. Since then, Anny has been enjoying being a referee at other nationals and playing on the court with Dodgeball Edmonton

Leonard Choi

Committee Member

Leonard started playing dodgeball at drop-ins with friends who wanted to try it out. He has stuck with it and continues to play 8 years later. He has made so many friends through dodgeball over the years and while winning is nice, getting to play with friends is the best.

Megan McCaffrey

Media Liaison

Megan has been involved in the dodgeball community as a player, referee and advocate for over a decade. She has served on provincial and nationals boards with a strong focus on communications and fundraising, and has attended the last 3 world championships as both a photographer and an official. When she's not playing dodgeball, Megan is a vanlife nomad; swimming in various lakes across North America with her dogs Poco and Max, and her human (also Max).
