Referees

Looking for energetic, confident, sports-minded people to referee dodgeball or act as a linesperson on a national level from June 16th-19th at the National Dodgeball Championships at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Applicants do not need to have previous dodgeball refereeing or linesperson experience, as training will be available, however, previous dodgeball experience and other refereeing experience will be considered an asset.

This event will follow WDBF rules (http://www.worlddodgeballfederation.com/rules/). All referees will need to be a member of Dodgeball Canada and have completed their Level 1 certification. Certification is not a huge time commitment, can be completed online and is free. Here is the link (https://www.dodgeballcanada.org/officials-certificate-program). There will also be opportunities to further your refereeing and linesperson experience through additional events and tournaments leading up to the National Dodgeball Championships. Rate of pay for Referees and Linespeople: $10 per match (20-30 minutes) with a premium for playoff matches
Job type: Contract
Referees and linespeople will be provided with an official shirt and will have meals provided throughout the day.
