Edmonton Thunder

Team Biography:

Edmonton Thunder was formed in 2017, one year after the introduction of WBDF style and rules, as well as inaugural Canadian Dodgeball Championships in 2016 held in Toronto.

Since then, Thunder has made national appearances in Halifax, Winnipeg, PEI and now in their home town of Edmonton.

Thunder took home the silver medal at the 2022 Provincial Dodgeball Championships earlier this year in Calgary, and will continue momentum on the national stage, making our city proud.

In addition to the team and their success after a 2 year hiatus, two of the Thunder captains were selected to represent Canada on the 2022 Canadian national team. Born and raised in Edmonton, Jessica Shmigelsky is a member of the women’s foam team, while Calgarian Megan McCaffery is a member of the coed cloth team.
